And This Is Why It's An Endless Search...

Today I was planning on going to the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood & Highland to wait from 9am-7pm for an interview, instead I decided to have a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, chat on facebook and watch an episode of Pretty Little Liars on Hulu (my new fav show). Anyway, really productive right?! Don't get down on me just yet, I still have time. I could go out and give my resume to restaurants yet I just can't bring myself to brush my hair and put in my contacts. Gosh that sounds really sad.

This procrastination thing is so hard to overcome. I wake up thinking "Ahh this is going to be a good day for the hunt" aanndd that quickly turns into "ugh I'm going to have to find parking at each place I hit up"... "I'll do it tomorrow". This is pretty much one of the main reasons I decided on this topic for my blog. I need to be held accountable. So if I have somewhere to write about my adventure then maybe I'll actually start it. Well let's just say it hasn't worked so far. I do however have the rest of the day maybe I will get up some courage to leave the apartment (doubt it, hate driving in L.A.) and Hard Rock interviews are going on until Saturday.

Carpe diem--- but tomorrow!

Welcome Message

Welcome! Not only a welcome message for you to my blog but also for myself, this is my first venture into the world of blogging. I've been wanting to blog for quite some time however I was never really sure what my topic could be, I knew I wanted something cohesive like cooking but I know how to cook so that wouldn't really be a journey. I wanted to blog about reupholstering this armchair I found on the streets and so kindly took into my home but I don't tend to it often enough or know enough about reupholstering to blog about it. One thing I know for sure is I need a new job!!! I moved to Los Angeles about 6 months ago and have been working at a little Indian food restaurant however it's terribly ran and I only get one shift a week. I can't live off one shift so this is my blog about my search for employment in Los Angeles. A few things I have against me... My impatience (waiting for interviews in these L.A. "casting calls" is awful), my complacency, and the fact that everyone in L.A. is an actor/actress which means everyone wants a flexible serving job. Tomorrow I will be heading out to Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Blvd. to wait with a ton of beautiful and well qualified people for a chance to interview for a serving position. Let's hope the whole city doesn't show up. Now it's time for me to get ready for my one shift a week at my current job. Wish me luck! :)
